Request apostilled birth extract

Arrange for a trusted contact or friend in Sweden to request an extract from the population register (personbevis - specifically "Utdrag om folkbokföringsuppgifter - 120" with all relations) from Skatteverket on your behalf. This serves as the equivalent of a birth certificate in Sweden and must be the signed/stamped official version (not a self-printed one).

Once received, have them obtain an apostille from a Swedish notary public (notarius publicus).

This step is on the critical path — any delay here will cascade and impact every subsequent stage of the process.
